"Chaotic" scenes in Glebe as ute smashes into bus stop

Published on

An elderly man in his 70s has been taken to hospital in a critical condition after a ute lost control and crashed into a bus stop in Inner Sydney.

Three other men, along with the male driver have also been seriously injured following the accident at Broadway.

Katherine Rallings, from New South Wales Ambulance, says it was a confronting situation for paramedics.

"It was a highly emotional scene. Our paramedics are out there trying to save patients, and the paramedics certainly did an exceptional job treating the patients. The elderly gentleman was treated and taken to hospital extremely quickly. Obviously the place he needed to be at this point," she said.
